Stephen Colbert was poised to make television and linguistic history on October 17th, 2005 with the premiere of his own show, “The Colbert Report.” It was on that first episode that Stephen coined the word “truthiness”, which went on to become Merriam-Webster’s 2006 Word of the Year.
Almost immediately, Stephen’s fan base increased exponentially and demanded to know more about their icon, and thus, rabid fan site Colbert Nation was born. It wasn’t long before Stephen had a Hungarian bridge named after him and an ice cream flavor created in his honor.
With the advent of the internet fans around the world can enjoy the antics of Stephen Colbert time and time again, and now fans can get together to discuss what happened on the latest show. The Colbert Nation is a great place for fans to get together to watch video clips, check out pictures, and read the postings of others that follow the show both casually and religiously. If you haven’t checked out The Colbert Report, now is a great time to give the show a try. And if you want to let the world know how you feel about the show, check out The Colbert Nation website, and tell them all about your take on the meaning of truthiness (trust me, it’s a word. Merriam-Webster said so in 2006).

This was a really cool costume. I’m not exactly sure about the particulars on this costume, but someone created a Bumblebee costume, one of the characters from the Transformers movie, and was at an auto showroom. I would LOVE to know how he had the costume, but also would have liked it if he could have figured out how to make the costume mobile. Any suggestions?

I was showing this to a couple of people to see if anyone knew who this motorcycle rider was. Some had said that it probably was Pastrana from Nitro Circus, but I hadn’t seen him do this kind of stunt before (I’ve seen them jump over a canyon while riding a tricycle, but so far not on fire). If anyone has any idea who this is please post up a comment.

I found this video on youtube, and just couldn’t resist posting it up. Miles Brown is only four years old, and yet he already has moves that rivels many adults, and some teenagers. He also has a really strong stage presence, and is not afraid to get on stage and “shake his groove thing”. Ellen DeGeneres featured him on her show not too long ago, and he really provided a great treat for everyone in the audience, and the millions who watch Ellen’s show every day. It would be great to one day think that my kids could be this talented, but I won’t know until I know. Either case, check out the video below to see this child prodigy in action.

I’m not sure how someone caught this on video, but WOW!!! Talk about having your good karma working for you. Hopefully, the people driving the car are okay. It’s hard to say as to why the bus doesn’t stop because it can’t just be because the road is a bit slick after a bit of rain. Perhaps the brake lines in the bus stopped working. Either case, the man walking across the crosswalk while all of this is going on BARELY misses being hit. Definitely this was a lucky day for him!
